I SIDeCiED

The I International Seminar on Democracy, Citizenship and Rule of Law turns its attention to the debate around the issues and challenges facing Human Sciences and Social Sciences, especially Law, in the search for perspectives involving sustainability and development with quality of life and equality. And this in a global scenario marked by constant instabilities arising from institutional crisis, affecting nations, governments, markets and people in their everyday insertion in society. That’s why this year’s theme is Law and sustainability in institutional crisis scenarios.

This theme is relevant to all societies and has been the subject of researches carried out by the institutions promoting the event: UVIGO, UEL and UFF.

At UVIGO, the participating researchers are mainly involved in research projects developed at the Ourense Campus, at the Faculty of Law, through the Doctoral Program in Water, Sustainability and Development.

At UEL, participating professors are linked to the Master’s Program in Business Law, with research activities included in the event’s sub-themes.

At UFF, the participating researchers are involved in research and activities developed at the Faculty of Law and the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences, whether in the Master and Doctoral Programs existing there, or in Research Groups registered at UFF and CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), especially through the Research Group on Democracy, Citizenship and Rule of Law (DeCiED).
